Greg Tapp Printing is a Newcastle based printing company offering quality solutions on printing, associated media and logistics. Our in-house support facilities include a design department, pre-press department (with full digital direct to plate facilities), printing department, finishing & bindery departments, forms management and logistics.
Pre-press department
Information Technology is a fast and dynamic growing section of our Art Department. Innovative printing solutions are a product of this department. Housing the latest computer to plate technology in our pre-press department ensures premium results for your final printed product.
Order colour calibrated digital proofs with your job to ensure absolute quality and colour accuracy when going to press.
Printing department
*Our current maximum print size is 740mm X 530mm for all printing.
Our latest addition to our presses is a five colour Heidelberg Speedmaster printing press.
This machine was purchased new and features the latest technology, including ink drive (minimal run up time & wastage), auto-registration, temperature controlled rollers with auto wash for rollers and blankets. The Heidelberg Speedmaster press provides the highest levels of quality and reliability, allowing us to provide faster turnaround and more consistancy in the final product that we produce for you.
Our stocks and inks
Stock
At Greg Tapp Printing we use the best possible papers to give you a quality finish. We use K.W. Doggert, Spicers, Raleigh, CPI and Daltons quality stocks in a huge range of weights, textures, colours and ecological ratings.
Ink
Quality inks are used on all presses. Keeping to industry standards we use the Pantone® colour matching system.
Finishing / binding / packing department
We offer gloss and matt celloglazing on most substrates. Providing the highest quality finishing with in-house convenience and turnaround times.
Two high quality Heidelberg Stahl folding machines and a Muller Martini saddle stitching machine allow us to do most folding and stitching requirements.
